Working Hours - The customer shall give access to G M Gas Services Limited within usual working hours (Mon/Fri 9am – 4pm excluding statutory and standard industry holidays).
Programme of Work - Every effect will be made to meet the requirement of the Customer but no guarantee can be given of the date of commencement or completion of the work
Terms of Payment - The Customer will pay no less than 50% of the estimated price prior to commencement of the work. The balance is due on completion. Completion means substantial installation. If work is unable to be fully completed due to matters beyond the control of G M Gas Services Limited this shall not affect or delay any payment due. The Customer may not withhold payment by reason of any alleged minor defect.
Extra Cost - In the event of suspension or cancellation of work at the request of the customer, or lack of instructions or delay on site, caused by matters beyond the control of G M Gas Services Limited, any extra expenses thereby incurred shall be chargeable to the customer. If overtime is worked or alterations are made at the request of the Customer, the extra cost incurred including a reasonable addition for administration expenses and overhead charges will be met by the Customer.
Cancellation - If the Customer appoints G M Gas Services Limited to carry out work a cancellation fee of usually 10% of the cost of the work will be payable.
General - It is assumed that the premises will be available for work to be carried out during normal working hours. That free electricity/water/gas/telephone/toilet and other welfare facilities will be available. That all necessary licences, authorities or permission have been obtained and that G M Gas Services Limited will have unrestricted access and free parking during the course of the work.
Title - The ownership of the goods will remain with G M Gas Services Limited until all sums of money due under the contract shall have been paid, and G M Gas Services Limited shall have the right to enter the Customer’s premises to retake possession of unpaid goods.
Guarantee - Three months from the date of installation on all labour and twelve months (both which shall be void unless the full contract price is paid on the due date), from the date of installation on all materials (normal working hours Mon/Fri). Some warranty lies with the manufacture who may not permit installers to break seals and repair their goods and such shall therefore lie with their own after sales services. The Customer has seven days to notify G M Gas Services Limited of any defect and must allow G M Gas Services Limited the opportunity to examine and rectify any such defect.
Exclusion - G M Gas Services Limited exercise all reasonable workmanlike care but shall not be liable in any way for damage normally inherent in carrying out work of this kind, all items of value shall be removed or covered by the Customer prior to commencement of work giving a proper working environment with clear access for the work. G M Gas Services Limited shall not be liable for any damage caused by the lifting moving or replacing of any special types of materials, cupboards, flooring e.g. rubber, tiles, chipboard, tongue and groove etc. Where necessary carpets will be lifted and replaced to the best of our ability. However all services are best carried out by a specialist on your behalf. This estimate does not include for attendance to or of other parties, builders/joiners work, the painting or touching up of radiators, the making good of any decorations howsoever damaged, boxing in or capping of pipe work, any additional to secondary water services, alterations to linen cupboards, renewal or repair of floorboards, the chasing in of pipe/cables or the balancing of existing systems unless otherwise stated. G M Gas Services Limited accepts no responsibility for any damage to plaster work, flooring etc necessarily consequent for the execution of the work unless specifically provided for in writing to the Customer. G M Gas Services Limited accepts no responsibility for fluctuation in the water pressure of your suppliers.
Consequential Loss or Damage - G M Gas Services Limited shall not be responsible for any consequential damage or loss arising out of the performance of the Contract, otherwise than by the negligence of G M Gas Services Limited or its employee’s agents.
Safety/Standards - We always advocate for your safety the use of a GAS SAFE REGISTER installer. We ourselves are registered on the GAS SAFE REGISTER registered No: 137345 and are members of the IPHE, the Institute of Plumbing and Heating No: 067586. If customers wish to check an engineer is registered the customer can call 0800 408 5500.
Heating - Estimates for water heating installations are based on the assumption that the existing plumbing system is in satisfactory condition. No responsibility is accepted for defects arising in water tanks, pipes etc during or subsequent to installation work by G M Gas Services Limited.
Fluctuations - Invoices are strictly net and the quoted price will be adjusted to meet any price variations in labour or materials occurring after the date of quotation.
Maintenance - It is accepted that after installation all appliances should be regularly checked and serviced. Natural Gas incorrectly set or installed is potentially lethal.
Soundness testing - All gas pipe work installed by us will be tested for soundness on completion. Any gas leaks detected at this time in the existing pipe work will be notified to the Customer for its immediate rectification in line with Statutory Gas Safety Regulations.
Asbestos - Should asbestos or other dangerous materials be found then extra charges will apply for its specialised removal.
Flue - G M Gas Services Limited accepts no responsibility for the suitability of any existing flue, which in any event should be swept prior to commencement. Should an existing flue later prove unsatisfactory in performance the Customer must arrange for a replacement flue to be installed at extra cost.
Rubbish/Waste - All rubbish, waster and redundant materials without value, resulting from the provision of service or installation performed under this contract will be left tidily with the Customer for removal/disposal. G M Gas Services Limited will only remove same if requested at the time of provision of service for which there will be a charge.
Proviso for Self-supplies (goods/equipment) - The Customer accepts full responsibility and will maintain insurance cover over property and materials in respect of the fitting self supplied equipment/materials and their connections and that G M Gas Services Limited will not be held responsible in any way whatsoever for breakage, damage, loss or consequential loss. The company gives no undertaking or Guarantees as the quality, design, fitness for purpose of any such self supplied equipment or/and its installation and fits only on the undertaking such equipment is fitted once only.
